a little poem for midsummers...

my little dog sleeping by my side
the rain outside.
may showers.
kitty cleaning her paws
and shedding some of her winter coat.
makes me crazy to clean it up,
but tells me warmth is near and all things are preparing.
and soon tiny greenery popping through the soil
of my brown dirt garden.
of seeds sown lovingly.
this is what i live for!
